theSKImag hosted a series of Apres with the Athletes events around the mountains in August – starting at Thredbo with the alpine racers, moving on to Perisher with the moguls skiers, then to Hotham for more time with the alpine racers and finishing at Buller during the Aerials World Cups.
At the Thredbo event, one of the most promising up and coming alpine athletes, Luke Dean, explained to the crowd that he had to “risk a whole lot more and put it all on the line” to get his best results.
However, Luke also revealed he has a secret weapon – “they’re my lucky charm – a pair of Superman undies!”
The sessions raised over $4000 which is going to support Australia’s aspiring winter athletes.
